Simply marvellous
To me, Travel & Food is the best part of the Sunday Times.
How surprised I was to see the story on Portugal’s medieval village of Marvão. I am fortunate to have visited Marvão castle and village many times as my sister and her husband are residents of Marvão’s sister village, Castelo de Vide.
Visitors to Portugal should not hesitate to do a day trip to this amazing walled town — it has so much history and wonderful views. It’s not to be missed. — Maureen Miller, East London
